About a year ago, I started building my website. Last May, I launched it. Today, I launch my Patreon account!

 

I have no desire to monetize my videos, put ads on my website, or put any of the content that I create behind a paywall. I want my content to be easily accessible to everyone. This is simply a platform where people can donate if they desire.

 

This is a no-frills, no-guilt operation. I'm not going to use clickbait titles. I'm not going to beg for money or likes or subscribers at the beginning and ending of every video, as well as every single post I make. Since I'm not going to monetize my YouTube videos, I'm not going to pad the videos to go over 10 minutes (or whatever it currently is) if they don't need to be. Some demonstration videos will be 3-ish minutes. Some will be 15-20 minutes. It depends on what it is I'm demonstrating.

 

I do nearly everything myself. My wonderful fiancée Katee assists me with moral support, moving equipment, giving me second opinions when I'm writing or working on the videos, and is always the first to see my completed work before I launch it, as well as many other things, big and small, outside of my music work. I'd really struggle to do it without her.
